FMJ - Full Metal Jacket - Dynavap

A real treat for DynaVap fans

The Full Metal Jacket, commonly referred to as FMJ, is an extremely popular accessory for DynaVap by the American company Simrell Collection. It’s a copper cover on the Captive Cap, which provides extremely efficient and even extraction, much greater heat retention and no need to spin the vaporizer in your fingers while heating. Ingenious!
 

How does it work in practice?

Thanks to its heat retention, the FMJ makes the Captive Cap stay hot longer, allowing more vapor inhalation in a single heat cycle. At the same time, extraction is more even and much faster – it only takes 1-2 heats to fully use up the chamber’s contents. Meanwhile, the fact that there is no need to spin during heating is just super convenient and makes it much easier to use. Please note – the FMJ is not compatible with induction heaters or the classic version of the Cap!
 

FMJ – how to use it?

Once mounted on the Captive Cap (the Simrell Collection logo needs to be further from its tip, and closer to the vaporizer body), position the torch flame to a length corresponding to the length of the FMJ and heat the logo on it with the flame. Over time, a lighter spot will appear at the point of contact with the flame – when bringing the flame closer and further away, make sure it matches the size of the logo on the FMJ. When you hear a double click, you can start inhaling. It’s that easy!
